Ingredients

  • 2 cups filtered water
  • 2 green tea bags (or 2 tsp loose leaf green tea)
  • 1 inch fresh ginger root, thinly sliced (or 1 tsp ground ginger)
  • 1 cinnamon stick (or ½ tsp ground cinnamon)
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey (or stevia to taste)
  • ½ lemon, juiced (or 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar)

Instructions

  1. Bring 2 cups of filtered water to a rolling boil in a saucepan.
  2. Reduce heat and add sliced ginger and cinnamon stick. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and add green tea bags or loose tea. Steep for 4 minutes.
  4. Strain into your cup using a fine-mesh strainer.
  5. Add raw honey while tea is warm and stir to dissolve.
  6. Squeeze in lemon juice and optionally add cayenne pepper. Stir and enjoy.

Notes
